budget dinner recipesYou may see kabobs and think, “appetizer,” but we’ve got five good reasons to grill some up for dinner:

1. They’re easy.

2. Kids love them because, like chicken fingers, chicken nuggets, etc., the meat is already more or less bite-sized and you can probably get away with eating them with your hands (plus … it’s meat on a stick!)

3. They’re easy.

4. We love them because they’re just different enough from the standard knife-and-fork routine — they add a certain flair or what have you to an ordinary weeknight, like we’re eating out but not.

5. They’re easy.

How easy? Well, with these Oriental Chicken Kabobs all you’ve got to do is mix together a handful of ingredients for a delicious Asian-inspired marinade, thread those succulent chicken thighs onto skewers and let them soak. Then when you’re ready for ‘em, pop ‘em on the grill. Steam some white rice and maybe throw together an edamame salad, and you’ve got one of those perfect summer meals: not too heavy, not too light … just right.

Oh, and the sixth thing we love about these Oriental Chicken Kabobs? They’re cheap! Here you get 4 servings at just $1.28 per serving!
