It’s time to add those last-minute touches to your kids’ Halloween costumes and get them ready for their trick-or-treating debut! My girl’s are super excited to get all dressed up, hit the neighborhood with friends and see how much candy they come home with. It’s always been a tradition to hand out the candy they receive to trick-or-treaters that come to our door after we come home. It’s great to see my kids giving, and they love it!
Whether their costume is elaborate or just a simple sheet ghost, dressing up is so much fun. Whip up this simple ghost for a perfect Halloween snack!
What You’ll Need:
1 hard-boiled egg
1 olive
1 piece dried spaghetti
sour cream
To Make Boo the Trick-or-Treating Ghost:
Cut the end off of the egg to create the ghost shape and help it stand on its own. Skin an olive. Use a plastic straw to cut small circles of olive skin for the eyes. Cut the end off of the olive, and use the larger portion for the bag. Cut a thin slice off the remaining smaller portion for the bag handle. Gently squeeze the handle into the center of the bag. Use a toothpick dipped in sour cream to draw a ghost face on the bag. Gently stick broken pieces of dried spaghetti into the egg for the arms. Put the bag into place on one arm.
Eat, drink, and be scary!
Go ahead, play with your food! Check out all of Kellie’s kid-friendly creations!
