Moo-velous Kids Lunch: Moose Sandwich

Christmas is behind us now, but I still wanted to make something that felt seasonal. So I thought, “Moose!” Why? I have no idea; there are no moose where I live, and in any case, it’s not like they’re specific to winter. Whatever the reason, this fella just felt right somehow, especially alongside a hot cup of cocoa with miniature marshmallows. I hope you and your little ones will agree!

What You’ll Need:
sandwich bread
peanut butter
1 marshmallow
2 chocolate chips
2 almonds
pear (or apple)

To Make Moose Sandwich:
Spread peanut butter on a slice of bread. Cut an oval shape out of another slice of bread. Place oval-cut bread on top of the slice with peanut butter as shown for the nose. Use almonds for the nostrils. Slice marshmallow, and put two slices in place for the eyes. Place chocolate chips onto the marshmallow eyes for the pupils. Cut two thick slices from the pear and cut two square notches out of each slice, then put in place for the antlers.

  • In these days of austerity in addition to relative anxiousness about taking on debt, many individuals balk up against the idea of using a credit card in order to make acquisition of merchandise or pay for a holiday, preferring, instead just to rely on the tried in addition to trusted way of making payment – hard cash. However, in case you have the cash there to make the purchase 100 %, then, paradoxically, this is the best time to use the credit card for several motives.
