Juice Recipes: Food NewsWhether you just want to get healthy, have an addiction to late night infomercials (“With the Jack La Lanne Power Juicer you always know it’s fresh!”), or just really like a true liquid lunch, odds are you’ve given juicing a try at some point. In fact, drinking fruits and veggies has become so popular that it’s sparking trends within the trend, Food & Wine’s Kate Krader writes for CNN.

So get ready for the next big thing: the juice vacation. Yes, hotels are now offering juice-themed getaways, including the Bikini Jumpstart Juice Package at the Shore Hotel in Santa Monica, Calif. The one-day program includes a “cleanse” from local outlet Pressed Juicery, delivered to the hotel, as well as a map of walking and running trails in the city. A vacation where you do a cleanse and exercise? Lack of solid foods may be to blame for that idea.

People are also cleansing at work, according to Krader. The New York Times recently reported that juice cleanses are all the rage at companies such as Citigroup and Merrill Lynch in the name of — get this — team building. We’d be too weak with hunger to show up for work, let alone be productive on a juice-only diet. But that’s just us.

Then, there are all these new-fangled flavors in juicing: Starbucks’ Evolution Fresh juice stores let you create your own concoction from all sorts of choices, while Krader sings the praises of New York’s Birdbath juice bar, where you can choose from ingredients like fennel, organic sweet potato, cilantro, orange, and cucumber.

Now, do like Mama told you and drink your vegetables (or at least make a nice vegetable salad). Okay?

Stay up with the trend: Make these healthy juice recipes!

is there any recipes for juices that include the benefit of each drink? Is there a book to buy to make vegetable and fruit juices for everyday use. I saw on tv one time there was a lady saying she made a drink for just growing hair.
    please reply thanks
