Holiday Kids Snack: S’more Elf Hat

Now that it’s getting colder, my girls are all about s’mores and hot cocoa. So I came up with this festive kids snack as a way for them to have both without the sticky mess of roasting marshmallows (not to mention the dangers of everyone crowding around an open fire!) For the sheer delight of your little ones — and big ones — serve the elf hat croissants warm with a mug of hot cocoa. My hubby ate quite a few of these, too!

What You’ll Need:
1 package of Pillsbury croissants
mini chocolate chips (regular size would work, too)
miniature marshmallows
mini Reese’s peanut butter cups

To Make S’more Elf Hats:
Roll out each croissant. Place 1 tablespoon mini chocolate chips at the widest part of the croissant. Sprinkle a few marshmallows on top of the chocolate chips. Roll up the bottom of croissant until the chocolate chips and marshmallows are completely covered with the dough. Stretch and shape the top part of the dough into an elf hat. Bake as directed. Let cool and then place a mini Reese’s peanut butter cup at the tip for the pompom.

Happy Holidays!
