Wicked Halloween Snack: Witch’s Brew

Halloween treat

This is a Halloween snack only a kid could love: salty pretzels, candy corn, a PB&J sandwich, fruit leather and peas….that’s right, peas. Maybe we’d all be wise to follow the lead of my 5-year-old and not get so caught up with “correct” food combos. Getting your kids to eat their veggies couldn’t be more fun!

What you’ll need:

  • 1 PB&J sandwich
  • 1 fruit leather
  • 8 pretzel sticks
  • 10 pieces of candy corn
  • 1/4 cup sweet peas

To make Witch’s Brew:

Using a circle cookie cutter (or an empty soup can), cut a circle out of the PB&J sandwich. Wrap the fruit leather around the sandwich, leaving a lip at the top so the peas won’t roll off (use peanut butter as “glue” if needed). Break 1 pretzel stick in half and press it into the top of the sandwich for the stirring spoon. Stack 7 pretzel sticks onto the plate as shown for the logs. Place the wrapped sandwich on top of the sticks. Arrange the candy corn around the logs for the fire. Gently put peas into place on top of sandwich. Easy-peasy!
