Google Releases Top 10 Recipe Searches for 2011

Google’s compiled its top web searches for 2011, and while we’re pretty indifferent to, say, this year’s top celebrity search (Justin Bieber — whatevs!), we couldn’t help being fascinated by the top food-related searches (we are a recipe website, after all).
As Bon Appetite reports, the top restaurant searches for Americans according to Google Zeitgeist 2011 are (drum roll, please): Pizza Hut, Dominos and Papa Johns. Seems every night is pizza night. They’re followed by Starbucks, McDonald’s, Olive Garden, Subway, Jimmy Johns and Buffalo Wild Wings, respectively.
After dining at most of those establishments, it’s no surprise that Fasting Rising Diets is also a category in 2011. Just in time for New Year’s resolutions, you may want to check out the top 10: Dukan Diet, Four Hour Diet, 17 Days Diet, Slow Carb Diet, Perfect Health Diet, African Mango Diet, Lichi Diet, Esselstyn Diet, Rachel (sic) Ray Diet and Beyond Diet. Or maybe not.
And, then, close to our hearts here at Recipe.com, there are Americans’ most-searched recipes. Here they are, in order, with links to our own top recipes in each category. (Your search is over!)
