Not only does it tell you the maximum number of days to store such popular items as butter, fish, chicken, vegetables, and—yes—eggs (5 weeks, by the way), the chart also offers loads of tips. Example: “Thaw all frozen meats in the refrigerator, not on counters or in sinks.”
