One-Pot Fondue: 30-Minute Meal
Hot enough for you? Wouldn’t it be nice on these blazing summer nights if you could simply whip up a fresh, homemade pizza—a quick, easy pie that didn’t involve a lot of oven time? Can’t do that, but you could make a classic Swiss fondue — in just half an hour — with lots of rich and gooey melted cheese, slices of crusty French bread, hard salami, and a bunch of pickles on the side. (If you want to make the dish healthier, put out some raw carrots, broccoli, and other fresh vegetables for dipping.)
You might think of this fondue as pizza in a bowl—an easy one-pot dinner that pulls the whole family together without anybody having to take the heat! Yes, get this: You can make the dish the day before and heat it up in the microwave just before serving
This is an elegant dish, too, made with Emmentaler and Gruyére and finished with dry white wine and Kirsch. You bet, this fondue dresses up for a party or, if you prefer, skip some of the fancier ingredients (you could use white cheddar, for example) and go for a fast week-night dinner.
Heat wave got you down? Make this gorgeous Swiss fondue in 30 minutes, and you’ll be totally cool!
