Delicious Father’s Day Treats (for the Dad Who Has Everything)
Fathers are even tougher than mothers when it comes to having a “day” for which they need gifts. This shouldn’t be true. After all, dads need clothes, right? Or sometimes you can find a book they might like. And although they don’t have a teapot collection that’s easy to add to, they do sometimes appreciate upgraded office supplies or, I don’t know, golf memorabilia or some slippers or something …
No, it’s hopeless. You can’t give your father slippers — not in June. And my husband always says you should let a golfer pick out his own stuff. But all fathers do need treats, and most likely they don’t get enough of them. (They’re always trying to cut down on carbs.) Make your dad something deliciously unnecessary, and make it a real present that he can unwrap. Which means you’ll have to wrap it, but you can’t begrudge Dad that.
Forget the tie — give Dad something delicious!
