Chicken Pizza with a Kick: Dinner for $10

cheap dinner recipesNext time you get a hankering for a good old pizza pie for dinner, might we suggest you ditch the takeout menu and whip up this Chicken Pizza with a Kick instead? Not only is it super easy (what with the use of refrigerated pizza dough), it’s a welcome alternative to the perennial question: “sausage or pepperoni?”

The titular “kick” here comes from substituting taco sauce for regular tomato, and also from the use of red onion and red sweet pepper (which, lo and behold, happens to be in season right now!). Sautéed chicken breast gives it plenty of heft without adding a lot of fat.

This Chicken Pizza with a Kick is a fresher, more flavorful alternative to most takeout pizzas, and cheaper, too. It yields 6 servings at just $1.53 per serving!
