Burger King Bacon SundaeWe totally understand loving ice cream. And everything really does seem better when bacon is involved. But when we read on the Huffington Post that Burger King is testing a bacon sundae in Nashville? Well, let’s just say we could pretty much feel our arteries clog right in front us.

Really, we shouldn’t be surprised. If you can stuff a pizza crust with a hot dog or make a taco shell from Doritos, why wouldn’t a fast food chain attempt to lure in the gluttonous masses with a sundae laced with bacon?

And it’s not like joining ice cream and pork product is a first. As the Huffington Post points out, Jack in the Box sells a bacon milkshake and Denny’s Baconalia menu features a maple bacon sundae.

Of course, that doesn’t mean it’s a combo you should try. What? Pancakes and syrup with a side of bacon isn’t a sweet enough meal for you? Unless you’re one of those guys selling bacon coffins, for the love of Miss Piggy, stick with chocolate, whipped cream and a cherry on top, would ya?

But, if you just can’t resist, you’ll have to head to Music City, USA, for a Burger King bacon sundae.

“As part of Burger King Corp.’s normal course of business, the company is currently testing menu items in a small sampling of U.S. restaurants located in the Nashville area,“ the company tells the Nashville Business Journal in a statement. “The brand does not have plans to expand the test to additional markets at this time.”

Did you hear that? That was the sound of the arteries of the world collectively thanking goodness for that.
