Burger King’s Bacon Sundae Goes National

Can’t resist the sizzle of bacon and the way it tastes with … well, just about everything? If you can smell the pork cookin’ and hear the drive-thru squawkin’, it might just be Burger King’s new whopper of a bacon sundae calling your name.
Was that a faint oink, oink we just heard?
Back in April, we wrote that the fast-food chain was testing the sweet-and-salty concoction in Nashville, Tenn. Apparently, it’s been a big enough hit for BK to truck it out across the country. And the dessert — a combo of vanilla soft-serve ice cream, caramel, fudge, bacon crumbles and, naturally, a strip of bacon — is just one of a bunch of new barbecue-themed, limited-edition items hitting BKs this summer, according to the Associated Press .
Besides the bacon sundae (which, by the way, will really run up your Weight Watchers points at 510 calories and 18 grams of fat per serving), Burger King is also hoping customers will like its Memphis Pulled Pork BBQ sandwich, the Carolina BBQ Whopper or chicken sandwich, the Texas BBQ Whopper or chicken sandwich, sweet potato fries and frozen lemonade.
What, no coleslaw? Where’s the potato salad?
The AP adds that Burger King, anxious to appeal to more moms and families, has also made a few alterations to its fries and even its well-known Whopper, even changing its slogan to “Taste Is King.”
Whatever, BK. Have it your way.

If they really want more sells return to the old fries and I would eat there again.
I would of never went else where, but fries make the meal with a shake.
I now eat at hamburger place very rare do to fries they are serve taste like add water potatoes.
Sounds to me like Burger King is just copying Denny’s Bacon Sundae from a year or so ago. So that idea is really not that new.
