3 Things to Make with…Canned Tuna

Each week, we bring you three original (often surprising!) recipes that feature the types of ingredients you’re likely to find on sale. This week, we’re featuring a classic pantry staple: canned tuna. We’ve cast our net wide (so to speak) and come up with three quick-and-easy dinner recipes that are not tuna casserole! Each can be prepped and on the table in 25 minutes or less, and they feature a range of out-of-the-ordinary flavors, from a tangy tuna pomodoro to a spicy Southwestern skillet.




1. Southwest Tuna and Black Beans

This two-step skillet dish is about as easy as it gets, and the tuna makes for a tender accompaniment to creamy black beans.



2. Tuna Pomodoro

Classic Italian flavors meld into a bright and healthy main-course pasta dish.



3. Tuna-Potato Cakes

Light but comforting, these easy tuna-potato cakes go great with a green salad and a side of tartar sauce.

    pasta. Its SOOOOOOOO much lighter and
    lower in carbs and cals.

    I love to fix a one pound box of Orzo pasta, add a can of peas, 2 cans of chunk light tuna, and what ever condiments you like to make up a pasta salad. YUMMMMM!
