Best-Ever Chocolate Cookies

    butter or margarine, softened

    Gold Medal® all-purpose flour

    unsweetened baking cocoa

  • 1  teaspoon
    baking soda

  • 1/4  teaspoon
    salt

  • 1  cup
    Fiber One® original bran cereal

  • 1 1/2  cups
    quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats

  • 3/4  cup
    white vanilla baking chips

Directions
1.
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. In large bowl, stir together butter, sugars and eggs. In small bowl, stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; stir into butter mixture. Stir in cereal, oats and baking chips.

Onto ungreased cookie sheets, drop dough by heaping tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart.

Bake 9 minutes. Cool 1 to 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool completely before storing in tightly covered container.

Tip:
High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): Increase flour to 1 1/3 cups.
