  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 2 pounds diet lean stew meat, salt and peppered
  • 2 green peppers, diced
  • 2 onions, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 dark beer (1 pint, 6 ounces)
  • 1 large package package Williams Chili Seasoning
  • 2 10 ounces cans Rotel
  • 1 14 1/2 ounce can diced tomatoes
  • 2 16 ounce cans chili beans, mild
  • 2 16 ounce cans kidney beans, drained

How to Make Homemade Chili

A favorite on a cold winter's day, this homemade chili recipe will warm you right up. This comfort food is great for parties or as an any time meal.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
In a large dutch oven, brown meat in oil, remove and set aside. Add 2 tablespoons oil and saute onions, pepper and garlic until onions are translucent, about 8-10 minutes.
Add meat, beef and seasoning to onion mixture. Cook 2-3 minutes then add the tomatoes and beans.
Place the dutch oven in the oven and cook for 3 hours or until meat is fork tender. Stirring occasionally, add more beans or tomatoes depending on desired consistency. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
