Batitas are Brazilian fruit juice concoctions made with cachaca and various fruit juices. Serve this drink at any summer party.
Prep Time: 10 mins
1/2 cupmango, guava, passion fruit, or apricot nectar
1 1/2 ounce (3 tablespoons)cachaca (Brazilian colorless rum made from sugar cane) or light rum
1 tablespoonBar Syrup (see recipe below)
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add nectar, cachaca, and bar syrup. Cover and shake. Strain into a cocktail or martini glass.
In a small saucepan stir together sugar and water. Bring to boiling, stirring to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat and cool the syrup. Transfer to a small bowl; cover and chill.
