Ingredients
  •  
    Ice cubes

  • 1/2  cup
    mango, guava, passion fruit, or apricot nectar

  • 1 -1/2  ounces (3 tablespoons)
    cachaca (Brazilian colorless rum made from sugar cane) or light rum

    Bar Syrup (see recipe below)

Directions
1.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add nectar, cachaca, and bar syrup. Cover and shake. Strain into a cocktail or martini glass.

Bar Syrup
In a small saucepan stir together 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup water. Bring to boiling, stirring to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat and cool the syrup. Transfer to a small bowl; cover and chill. Makes 1/2 cup syrup.
