Bananas Foster
Ready in just 15 minutes, this easy recipe instantly awes guests. Brown sugar, bananas, and a splash of liqueur are warmed and poured over ice cream for an enticing dessert.

Ingredients

1/3 cup butter

1/3 cup packed brown sugar

3 ripe bananas, bias-sliced (2 cups)

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons creme de cacao or banana liqueur

1/4 cup rum

2 cups vanilla ice cream
Directions

In a large skillet melt butter; stir in brown sugar until melted. Add bananas; cook and gently stir over medium heat about 2 minutes or until heated through. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Stir in creme de cacao.

In a saucepan heat rum until it almost simmers. Ignite rum with a long match (see photo, below). Pour over bananas; stir gently to coat. Spoon sauce over ice cream; serve immediately.
