Banana Nut Bread

Ingredients
  • 1 3/4  cups unbleached flour (or 1 cup unbleached + 3/4 cups whole wheat flour)
  • 2   teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2  teaspoon salt
  • 1/4  teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/3  cup butter
  • 2/3  cup Sugar In The Raw®
  • 2   eggs
  • 1   cup mashed, ripe bananas (2-3 medium)
  • 1/2  cup chopped walnuts
Directions
1. 
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Sift together dry ingredients. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter; add Sugar In The Raw and continue beating. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add dry ingredients alternately with bananas. Stir in chopped walnuts.
3. 
Pour batter into greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees F about 1 hour and 20 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool in pan 20 to 30 minutes before removing to rack.
