Bacon, Basil, and Tomato Salad

A quick and fresh summer salad you can make in the morning and let marinate until picnic time!

Ingredients

1/2 poundSmithfield Bacon, cut into 1" pieces and cooked crispsee savings

-
4 largevine ripe summer tomatoes, cut into eighthssee savings

-
1 cupfresh basil leaves, roughly choppedsee savings

-
3 garlic cloves,mincedsee savings

-
2 tablespoonsbalsamic vinegarsee savings

-
3 tablespoonsolive oilsee savings

-
Salt and pepper to tastesee savings

Directions
1.
In a large glass bowl toss together tomatoes, basil and garlic. Pour vinegar and olive oil over and season with salt and pepper. Cover with plastic wrap and allow to marinate at room temperature for 4-6 hours. Toss in the crisp bacon just before serving.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with a wonderful crispy and crusty bread. Pour any leftover over your favorite pasta for dinner.
