Ingredients

1 cupapricot nectar or orange juicesee savings

1/3 cupcoarsely snipped dried apricotssee savings

2 to 3 tablespoonshoneysee savings

2 teaspoonscornstarchsee savings

1 cupsliced fresh strawberriessee savings

Directions

In a small saucepan stir together the nectar or juice, apricots, honey, and cornstarch. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly; cook and stir for 2 minutes more. Gently stir in strawberries; heat through. Serve immediately with warm waffles. Makes 24 (1-tablespoon servings).
Make-Ahead Tip
Prepare as directed above except do not stir in the strawberries. Cool syrup; transfer to a microwave-safe container. Cover; chill until serving time. To reheat syrup, micro-cook, uncovered, on 100% power (high) for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring twice during cooking. Gently stir in the strawberries. Serve immediately with warm waffles.
