Almond Butter Crescents

Ingredients

2 cups butter, softened

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 large egg

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

3/4 cup finely chopped toasted almonds

3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Sifted powdered sugar
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl, combine butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Beat at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Add egg and vanilla, beating well. Add almonds, beating at low speed until blended. Gradually add flour, beating well. Cover, and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Shape dough into 1-1/4-inch balls and then into crescent shapes. Place on ungreased baking sheets.

Bake for 12 to 14 minutes. Immediately remove cookies to sheets of waxed paper. Sift powdered sugar generously over cookies. Let cool.
