  • 8  ounces  dried cavatappi, ziti tagliati, or elbow macaroni (2 cups)On Sale

  • 2  tablespoons to 1/4 cup  crumbled blue cheese (1/2 to 1 ounce)On Sale

Directions

Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain; set aside. Meanwhile, prepare cheese sauce.

For cheese sauce: In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and pepper. Cook and stir for 3 minutes. Add milk in a steady stream. Cook and stir over medium heat for 3 minutes more or till slightly thickened and bubbly. Add cheese, stirring till melted. Stir in cooked pasta. Transfer pasta mixture to a 2-quart casserole.

Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree F. oven for 20 to 25 minutes or till bubbly and heated through. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving. Makes 4 servings.
